Lana Harvey
Office Manager
Lana has a background in administrative operations and customer service. She brings a thoughtful, people-first approach to office management. Meeting new people and assisting others is a bonus. She is a mother of two and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
J.R. Haskins
Instructor
J.R. earned his Driver Education endorsement from Indiana State in 2010, while teaching elementary math at Tri-County. In 2016, he earned his Master’s Degree in administration and spent one year as the athletic director/assistant principal at Covington High School. Currently, he serves as the principal at Tri-County Jr/Sr High School. Most of his driving students live in the Wolcott, Remington and Rensselaer areas, but he also helps with students in West Lafayette. J.R. enjoys helping students to understand the responsibilities of being a new driver and the general rules of the road.
Tammy Johnson

Hi! My name is Tammy. I am excited to be a part of this TEAM! I enjoy working with people. I have 4 adult children and 8 grandchildren. I currently drive a School Bus for Tippecanoe School Corporation and love all my kiddos! This job has taught me patience and understanding. In my free time I enjoy swimming and spending time with my family. Hope to meet you soon!
Randy Keller
Instructor
Randy earned his BS degree in Finance and MA degree in Educational Psychology from Ball State University. From 1988 through 2024, he held various auto claim and leadership positions with State Farm Mutual Automobile Company in California, Illinois and Indiana. Randy’s auto claim experience and understanding of Indiana driving laws fit well into his role as a driving instructor. Randy is the proud father of two adult sons who live in the Lafayette area.
Ashley Cordes

Hi, I'm Ashley! I have a passion for helping others become safe, confident drivers. With experience as a professional school bus driver at Tippecanoe School Corporation, I understand the importance of patience, clear communication, and creating a calm learning environment. Whether you're getting behind the wheel for the first time or looking to build your confidence, I'm here to support you every step of the way. In addition to my driving experience, I'm a proud mother of five, which has strengthened my patience, adaptability, and ability to connect with people from all walks of life. I also hold an associate degree in psychology, giving me a deeper understanding of how people learn and build confidence. I also enjoy doing photography, which allows me to express my creativity and connect with others in a different way. I believe learning to drive should be a positive experience, and I strive to make each lesson encouraging, comfortable, and tailored to every student's individual needs. My goal is not only to help you pass your driving test but also to give you the skills and confidence to be a safe, responsible driver for years to come. I look forward to helping you start your driving journey!

Hello my name is Carl, I’m very excited to start working with Safety Zone Driving Academy since I was taught by Safety Zone in the first place! I think Safety Zone has to be one of the best if not the best driving academy in Indiana which is why I’m so excited to start teaching with Safety Zone!
