Anne, owner of Safety Zone Driving Academy is a lifelong resident of White Co. She attended Purdue University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education and a Masters of Education from Indiana Wesleyan University. She also attended St. Joseph's College for her endorsement of Drivers Education. Anne served as a special education teacher for 13 years before deciding to open Safety Zone Driving Academy in 2010.

Casey Hines graduated from Purdue University in 2004.  He is a Social Studies Teacher and coaches football and track at Maconaquah Middle School. Casey received his Drivers Education endorsement from Bethel College in 2006. He has taught drivers education at Lafayette, Pioneer, and since 2010 at Safety Zone Driving Academy. He looks forward to continuing to serve the community by teaching students how to drive safely.

Mike Harter has been teaching Driver’s Education since 1983. He is a graduate of Hagerstown High School, has a Bachelor of Science degree from Ball State University, and a Master’s degree from Indiana University. Mike's teaching career has included Norwell Middle School, Pioneer High School, Northwestern High School, Lewis Cass High School and recently retired from West Central High school. He has been a US History, Economics and Physical Education teacher, as well as a Varsity Head Football and Wrestling Coach. Mike has been employed by Safety Zone Driving Academy since 2012.

Mike Rennier, Instructor for Safety Zone Driving Academy, has been teaching driver education since 1977.  He received his BS and MS degrees in education at Ball State University and later completed a degree in Elementary Administration.  Mike retired in 2014 from North White School Corporation, Monon, IN, after 38 years as a 4th grade teacher, driving instructor, and Monon Elementary principal.  He has been with Safety Zone Driving Academy since 2014.  Mike has found that teaching is most fulfilling when you help someone learn something new that will benefit them for a lifetime of driving.

Teresa Hines is a Logansport graduate, licensed Realtor, and an IVY Tech Kokomo graduate. She worked in the Dental field for 6 years. She received her Drivers Education endorsement in 2020. She has enjoyed teaching students how to drive safely and looks forward to helping students in the community. Casey and Teresa have 4 daughters and enjoy furniture painting in their free time.

J.R. earned his Driver Education endorsement from Indiana State in 2010, while teaching elementary math at Tri-County. In 2016, he earned his Master’s Degree in administration and spent one year as the athletic director/assistant principal at Covington High School. Currently, he serves as the principal at Tri-County Jr/Sr High School. Most of his driving students live in the Wolcott, Remington and Rensselaer areas, but he also helps with students in West Lafayette. J.R. enjoys helping students to understand the responsibilities of being a new driver and the general rules of the road.

Michelle has a passion for working with people of all ages when it comes to being of service. She especially loves having the ability to see the spark of connection in a students eyes when that student has been able to overcome nervousness and a learning challenge through driving. Michelle has instructed yoga and pilates as well as being in management positions throughout her life and career. She is a continuing college student, in strategic communications and community relations. Michelle enjoys helping our community youth navigate their way through their life’s milestone of learning to drive.

Rachel is a Logansport graduate, a pre-school teacher, and an Ivy Tech graduate. She previously worked in the mental health field for almost 10 years before taking a 4 year break and working at Tyson. Rachel is currently a pre-school teacher of the 2 1/2  year old room. In her free time, she loves spending time with her big blended family. She looks forward to helping students in the community feel comfortable and knowledgeable behind the wheel!
